This blog is about Callie Thorpe who is a blogger who is all about body confidence which inspires people to accept their body and to enjoy being plus size. She also posts tips and tricks of daily life to help with things such as Moving house: 8 Tips that eased the stressed of Moving.
She inspires me to be more adventurous with my clothing choices rather than sticking with the clothing I am comfortable with. She also makes me feel more confident within myself especially with her podcast she has called the confidence corner. On her podcasts she has a different guest on each one talking about different topics but mainly about boosting people’s confidence. One of her podcasts she discusses about comparing yourself to other people for their bodies, jobs and travels and how to cope and overcome these things. Her guests give a very personal insight to their stories and lives and give advice if anyone perhaps is going through anything similar how to get past their problem. Her Instagram posts also inspire me to not care too much about if I should or shouldn’t wear something due to my size as she always wears clothing that I would never dare to wear but she has the confidence to do so. This then gives me some confidence to as I think if Callie Thorpe can do it why can’t I?
What I like about Callie Thorpe is also that she posts similar content to what majority of celebrities are doing such as intimate posts not really wearing much clothing. The only difference is that she is plus size, and the celebrities are slim, but she looks just as beautiful as they do regardless of size. From looking at the photos you can tell that she is not photoshopped any of her photos they are all her naturally which cannot be said about all celebrities.
Another thing that I really like that will inspire my blog is that she has an aesthetic she sticks to which is on all her media and websites. She goes for one colour in the picture to be very vibrant and washes out all the other colours. This is especially effective on her Instagram page where she mainly chooses the orange colour to be the brightest colour.
The only thing that I would change and would like to see is that she updates her blog on a more regular basis than she does now. At the moment she updates her Instagram which is closely linked to her blog, it is updated more about 4 posts a week and her blog is updated once a month very rarely twice in a month.
